Lent Bulletin 1 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
Welcome back! There's lots going on this term - our AGM in February (see item 2 for details of standing for a position), the annual dinner (email Kate to reserve a space if you haven't already done so!) and of course the usual complement of trips. On the subject of trips, the sign-up for our first weekend trip to the Arran Mountains in Wales, will be held this Monday - all the details are in the first bulletin item below. Our regular lunch and pub-meets will be continuing as usual this term, with the first pub meet being tomorrow from 21:30 in our term-time regular, The Castle. |

Michaelmas Bulletin 4 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
Apparently we are now into week 7 (where did the term go!?) and on the countdown to end of term. If you're anything like me you are eagerly awaiting the onset of the Christmas vacation mainly for the opportunity to catch up on sleep, however the vacation also brings with it something else to look forward to: our annual new-year Seathwaite trip. This is always a fantastic trip, with the combination of an amazing location and longer trip length making for both excellent walking opportunities in the day and fun evenings snug in the warmth of the bunkhouse. All are welcome whether you are a grizzled oldie or completely new to the club. Details about trip dates, cost and how to sign up are all below.
We also have one last weekend trip this year, so if you're looking to end the term on a high (...) make sure to get to sign-up on Monday and bag yourself a place on our Brecon Beacons trip - full details in the first item below. |

Michaelmas Bulletin 3 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
Though the weather could not accurately be described as pleasant, I still really enjoyed the trip to Rydal this weekend and would like to thank everyone who came along and made it such a success.
If your return to the topographically challenged Cambridge has left you itching to get out and see some hills again, or worse if you've been bubble-bound for even longer, our penultimate trip of the term to Snowdonia is the perfect opportunity to relieve week 5 blues and satisfy your inner-walker. Sign-up is this Monday with full details in the first bulletin item below.
As usual our weekly pub meet will be held tomorrow (Thursday) from 21:30 in the Castle Inn, and if you want another chance to enjoy some hillwalker company and help raise money for a great cause, please also come along to the ceilidh we're holding in support of Mountain Rescue England and Wales this Friday (details in item 3 below). |

Michaelmas Bulletin 2 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
Thank you to everyone who came on our Edale trip - I had a great trip and I hope you all enjoyed it too. As a note to new members, if you sign-up for an account on our website, as well as giving access to the wiki we use to organise cooking on trips, you can post links to your photo albums from trips if you want to see your pictures take pride of place on the club home-page!
Our first weekend trip is now quickly approaching so be sure to read the details in the first bulletin item below about sign-up if you want to make sure you've got your next hillwalking fix ready. Although coming on trips is a great way to learn about hillwalking in itself, we also a club try to facilitate people receiving more formal instruction - items 2 to 4 in this bulletin describe some of the various opportunities the club has on offer to help you develop your ability to be safe on the hills. |

Michaelmas Bulletin 1 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
A warm welcome to all our new mailing-list sign-ups from the Societies' Fair and hello once again to everyone else. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at our squash this Sunday (see below for details) or one of our trips or social events this term, and hopefully we have another fun-filled year on the hills ahead of us!
If you're experience of the Societies' Fair is anything like mine was in first year you are probably getting innudated with emails now and your diary may be looking worryingly full with all the events you've signed up for - if you cannot make it along to our squash or even any of the trips this term (or year!) please remember you are always welcome to come join us on any of our trips or socials in the future. However if you're sure you no longer want to be signed up to this list it's easy to remove yourself by going to the mailing list information page. |

Michaelmas Bulletin 0 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
Welcome back to the bubble for those of you who are returning this term, hello to those extra-keen new people who have already signed up to the club mailing list and commiserations to those of you who live in Cambridge and now have to cope again with the hoards of noisy students. I hope you all had a brilliant summer and that it was filled with some excellent walking. This is just a short bulletin to plug the gap before the first 'proper' bulletin is sent out after the Societies' Fair next week. |

Easter Bulletin 3 |
Hello Hillwalkers,
GOOD LUCK to all those in the middle of exams at the moment. Our trip to Ennerdale next weekend could be the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of exams in (hillwalking) style by escaping from Cambridge for a weekend of walking and socialising with not an exam hall in sight. And if you'd like a chance to let your creativity chance flourish after mind-numbing weeks of revision, be sure to read about the chance to contribute to the pivotal publication that is our annual journal: High Society. |

Hello Hillwalkers,
Welcome back to Cambridge for those of you who managed to escape to it's hill-less reaches over Easter. If so read on below for details of our next weekend trip and more ... |
