I understand that the CU Hillwalking Club is not a professional mountain leadership organisation, and that I am responsible for my own actions and for ensuring my own safety whilst on a trip. I realise that without the proper precautions the hills can be a dangerous place, and I will not attempt anything without a proper understanding of the risks involved, and prior training where appropriate. I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that I am properly equipped for the likely weather conditions, and will inform the club's safety and equipment officer well in advance of any club equipment that I may need to borrow. I agree to follow the advice laid out in the club's safety guidelines.
