LOCATION:The Castle Inn\, Castle Street
DESCRIPTION:Come along to meet club members\, chat about upcoming trips\, reminisce about past exploits and generally lament not being in the hills.  During term\, we’ll be in the Castle Inn on Castle Street from 21.30 until closing time. We usually take over a couple of tables upstairs (occasionally downstairs)\, or can be found outside if it’s nice. There are normally a couple of us wearing club t-shirts and we’ll often have a map or two lying on the table\, so we should be easy to spot!

DESCRIPTION:Situated north of Fort William (but not too inaccesible!)\, Glen Shiel offers access to a superb range of mountains big and small\, including the Five Sisters of Kintail to the north and The Saddle to the south.  We&#039\;ll be camping at Shiel Bridge for about a week - though you can come for as many or as few nights as you like.  If you&#039\;d like to come but don&#039\;t have camping gear\, you&#039\;ll probably be able to share with someone.  Transport is not provided by the club\, but we will advise on public transport and attempt to coordinate lift-sharing.  Email Jo (jcs74) with any questions or to register your interest.

DESCRIPTION:Come and find out what CUHWC is all about!  This trip is open to anyone who isn&#039\;t already a member\, not just freshers - and you don&#039\;t have to join to come along.  We&#039\;re going to Edale in the Dark Peak\, offering access to the Lose Hill-Mam Tor ridge as well as the wilder landscapes of Kinder Scout - and about as far as you can get in a day from Cambridge!  There will be a selection of walks of varying length\, catering for all abilities and tastes.  The only gear you&#039\;ll need is sensible walking clothes (including waterproofs)\, boots (though if you don&#039\;t have them there will be one walk that is possible to do in trainers)\, and a packed lunch.  The coach will leave from the Silver Street end of Queen&#039\;s Road at 7am\, and we&#039\;ll be back by 11pm.  More details will be given at the Societies&#039\; Fair and Squash\, and by email to those who have signed up to the mailing list.
